In regard to taking out the wacom tablet, it isn't as easy as it sounds. For example, we would need to re-design a big chunk of the user interface which depends on the usage of the stylus and the price difference wouldn't be big enough to consider it. A big cost driver for the higher price of the iLiad remains the display. With an 8.1-inch display vs. a 6-inch display you get almost 50% more reading space, hence the big difference.
