Now the DR1000S is in the wild we see that it has about a 5-6 hour battery life. Did iRex learn nothing at all from the iLiad battery saga?

Even with the news of the Sony upgrade and possible Kindle upgrade, iRex has shown again they are above and beyond the competition by a mile. No one can touch iRex. I am almost amazed how far ahead they are of the competition. Having said all of this I don't understand why iRex chooses to leave the customer behind. Does iRex believe sales will never be hurt with non existent customer service. Does iRex believe ignoring email requests for service or assistance is good for business? How can a company that offers breakthrough products fall completely short in customer service.

I got a 2nd edition of Iliad, was it possible to upgrade it to the large display with a discount or a trade of the old version?

Wow! It looks very fine. It's a pity that I have just bought an Iliad Book Ed. ;-)

A larger screen is definitely a good idea to improve readability of common pdf's out of the box, at least until more flexible formats are universally available.

BTW. I have seen new software running on the iRex 1000 [demo images]. Will it be released to Iliad users?

Congrats on your new baby :-)
